The types of Passion fruit grown in the U.K that bear edible fruit are all very fragile. When grown outside they must be very well sheltered. Passion fruit will do better in a greenhouse or conservatory and will grow big enough to produce fruit roughly 12 months after growing from seed.

All of our passion fruit seeds are less than 3 months old so the seeds have not lost any of their viability. You certainly would not want to use any that are over 1 year old as germination is unlikely.
